Provide some feedback

Invite them to apply again
Although they may not be qualified this time, you can let them know you’ll like to see them in the future again if you feel like they’ll be a good fit in the company in another capacity. However, you don’t have to include this in a letter if you don’t think a particular candidate is suitable for your company.
